Guest Lock N Safe Buddy
Thinkin of upgrading our RW2 + TEX CODE to the RW4. Can anyone tell me in plain English what addditional keys I would be able to produce. From Silcas jargon it appears that I would be able to program Texas 4Ds, but thats not much of an advantage over the machine I already have! From Silcas jargon it appears that I would be able to program Texas 4Ds, but thats not much of an advantage over the machine I already have! thats not much of an upgrade as you will still need to use the bloody eh2 heads and you will basically only be able to do some vag keys that you currently dont do. spend your money on the ad900pro a much better machine it has the ability to write to chips tpx 1 and tpx2 aswell as eh2. keymaker
Silca RW4 still a good machine, if you want one I know someone selling one hardly used. PM for details. AD900 is an excellent choice if you want to do more car keys with other types of chips. I still have my RW2 with Tex code to copy 4D's, but hardly do any since purchasing AD Pro machine last year. It all depends what direction you want to take, either coding or cloning.
Michael
I looked at the info on the ad900pro on the AD site.Is that the price all in,works straight out the box or do you have to purchase software for more makes of car? If it works like that straight out of the box then that looks like great value for money

Craig Gardner
At least he signed his name with a small "c" No more caps as i am on another pc i always forget that when i use the pc on the engraving machine it normalay has caps left on. here we go Keith my expanation of add on modules for the ad900 pro the ad900pro will cost £800 and as it comes it can copy all id33 fixed code transponders. i am sure ad keys also still give you the choice of any 2 modules free of charge except the tpx2 update as that costs £200 and most others cost £80 each it depends on what you want to do with your machine which modules you want.if you are upgrading a rw2 with tex code advanced box you will probabaly have a lot of eh2 blades and heads so the eh2 module will be good. but i would also buy the tpx2 and tpx1 module so you can get rid of the battery head keys and clone straight onto a chip so no future problems when the battery runs out id41 update good for quite a few nissan keys another £80 though id 42 good for some seat and vw and ford galaxy £80 id 45 some older puggy 206 and 406 but another £80 not worth it if u have a programmer philips crypto update no use to clone keys in a shop but allows you to put a pcf7935 chip in the machine and convert it ID 40, 41, 42, 44 (VAG), 44 (Mitsubishi) & 45. handy if you have a programer as you dont need to stock as many different chips and their is about 3 other modules that allows you to either generate pin codes for programming witha programmer or to change a standard chip into another type of chip but only for when you are more advanced in the transponder car key market you could start to go down the eprom route. keymaker
These additional modules are too advanced for someone who only wants to copy or clone car keys. A waste of money if you don't have use for them. Only buy what you need, that's why the AD900 is so popular. Why spend £2000 when you don't have to??? Fair enough but without the advanced modules even the ad900 pro is still a limited machine to do car keys proparaly you realy need to think strongly about investing in a diagnostic machine.we program more keys into cars than we can clone on our ad900pro and i have all cloning updates.the main problem is i dont think you will ever be able to clone id46 or id48 chips and these are more and more popular now.i will be doing a tutorial tomorow on full car key deleting and reprograming on a vectra c. craig
