hibsjo(SCO)
Hi Craig we looked at the easie entrie machine but unless you are going to start copying restricted keys /patented or the likes of which you aint allowed to its not worth having, customers want to hear that no-one can copy there keys for security purposes its a pain in the arse but thats life. also its one of the noisiest machines ive ever heard carry on
locksnstuff
There are companies who dont like this machine and who will and do prosecute key cutters/locksmiths for copying their restricted/patent keys. Not worth the hassle ever if you were that way inclined! The question is, if you went to the expense of getting you own restricted/patent profile, would you like it if someone bought one of these and was able to copy them? To be accurate, you can get into trouble if you copy a patented key, a restricted section is simply one where the manufacturer does not supply blanks but without a patented design, can be copied. The biggest issue IMO with getting an Easie Entrie machine is that it struggles on the smallest groves on very complex security keys. There's been cases where even this machine has been unable to produce a working key for an old, obsolete section.
