Guest tiredmummy
hi everyone, ive found a few suppliers of pet id tags to offer alongside our own range like red dingo and mastergrave. Does anyone know of any other companies who offer pet tags please? I think red dingos are a bit expensive and i dont really rate the designs even though they look good quality. I like some of mastergraves range but they dont offer pink and green etc in the aluminium range. id greatly appreciate any ideas you may have as i dont know where to look and after hours and hours of surfing im coming up with nothing - living up to my geordie traits again!!! Lee
you could try forum sponsors, T. Colledge, Glenways, U-Marq, Davenport-Burgess, Gravograph & Birch. ALL do pet tags of one sort or another. Lee

Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
tiredmummy... I think that you will get more help here than you would surfing for many hours as we have done it all before and are aware of the pitfalls of most of the products available. One must for you is to vist the next trade exhibition as Engraving is in the forefront regarding displays/products/machinery etc.
Guest tiredmummy
hi hugh thanks for your advice, im very greatful! I think i will go to an exhibition to be honest, there is so much information available at them! Regarding asking here, i was a bit cautious about asking for suppliers etc as i went on a wholesale forum a few weeks back and got a strip torn off me becuase they said they were sick of people coming on for advice and not giving anything back. i can see their point but as im new to all of this i dont really have much to give, apart from a mummy hug lol! if i can help someone i will so thanks a lot for that This forum is obviously poles apart from that one! Lee
When I started my shop, I’d only ever repaired shoes & cut mortice keys. Now I am a market leader (in my opinion) offering just about every service you’d expect from my sector. Every other service has been self taught If a forum had existed all those years ago when I started my life as a small businessman, my life would have been a whole lot easier. Now I find myself offering advice, information & services on a daily basis. If the forum can help accelerate the quality of some ones learning then that can only be a good thing for our customers. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
OK tiredmummy I will ask the 1st question... How do you make mince pie cases that crumble up in your mouth without having to bite them. All the bought ones have no taste and are similiar to pressed cardboard. I want to make my own this year and want a tried and tested pastry recipe, not one off Google. Being a young girl perhaps your mummy may have one? Guest tiredmummy
lol! Im a good cook but hands up im crap at baking! Ill ask my mother in law as she used to work for a bakery and her things taste divine! Theres no chance of getting a recipe from my mummy, i used to make my own food and was brought up on sugar and jam sandwiches before she p***ed off to the bingo. Dont speak to her now after she beat me up 3 years ago because i wouldnt let her look after my kids and just won a 2.5 year court battle to stop her from seeing them. Feel like ive had a weight lifted off my shoulders and thats why im now looking at starting the business becuase i just couldnt face it before! Shed probably include poison in her recipe lol! Anyway, ill ask me mother in law tomorrow and get back to you xx

kobblers
cos high fat content will bind it too well which isn't what you want if you want it crumbly. lard's not a good idea unless you're going to mix it half and half with butter to make shortening. as for make, any that say low spread (you can use most vegetable based cooking marge if you want to, done it loadsa times) rick.
