Lee
Don't forget the weight is dispersed over all 4 casters though! & Consider any steps and the height of them for grounding out the middle! Lee

Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Get 4 trailer jack wheels bolted on the sides and winding handles on the side and you could take it anywhere.

'Onest Andy
I've heard that supermarket trollies have excellent castors which can handle very heavy weights... even a car engine ! Now if only we knew where to lay our hands on some of those.
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Wow Andy that brings back memories. I got 2 trollies and cut the tops off them, welded a plate accross each, put a large cupped car jack on each and moved a very heavy car that had a siezed engine and wheels. The wheels on the trollies were more solid than they are now though.
Lee
why pay a pound to cut up a super market trolley! nip round the back of your local DIY store after dark and you should find a few redundant larger trolleys...... or just buy some wheels of Ebay! x minit uk
Nip to the pub and round up all the big lads then get some scaffold poles and Bingo, the world is your oyster. I tried that when I had to move a outsole machine from a car park to my shop, about 300 yards, along came 3 burly blokes who took one look and cleared off. I ended up paying my son and 3 of his mates to help me.
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
So why did you not take it to bits, Head, column and base then carry it in yourself? .
x minit uk
So why did you not take it to bits, Head, column and base then carry it in yourself? . Well we did remove the head in the end, but it was still to heavy for me. I was recovering from surgery at the time
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Well yes the head is a 2 man job unless you are a fit under 40 year old, carried many in my younger days but wondered whow i ever did it 8 years ago when I tried to move one out of my garage.
