'Onest Andy
Ahh well My guess is that your local wholsaler is not as greedy as other "reputable" suppliers. I have found this to be the case myself with several products. Non trade related but an example of the same thing. I went to the NEC classic car show on 5th November. The Autoglym stand were selling one litre of their "Super resin polish" at £16.99 per litre.. a quick walk around the indipendant trade stands and there it was for £9.99 a litre. Always pays to shop around.

Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
yeah, but cheaper than the manufacturers (not just supplier) themselves?my wholesaler must be importing huh?( Could be a loss leader ascap, or a new customer of zippo getting a special initial order. Or it could be stock bought from another dealer closing down. You sure the zippo aint spelt as zippho

kobblers
haha, the firm is a walk in cash and carry on derby st in manchester's cheetham hill area, they're called STC (shipping & trading co) and you can reach them on: 0161 834 4766. the minimum spend is £70 but i don't know if they do a posting service for phone orders, we always buy on the day. if you're not too far away it may be worth a trip up on a sunday, they're open 'til 2pm. they do allsorts of other stuff cheaper too, zippo gift boxes, flints, wicks, novelty lighters, fag tins, rolling machines, keyrings, trolley keyrings, coil keyrings, retractable keyrings etc, as well as household goods and electronic gadgets. phone accesories at trade too, batteries, covers, chargers etc. hope that helps. rick. if for any reason you can't get there or they won't ship let me know what you want exactly, give me a week to order what they don't have in stock and i'll pay a visit then post it on at cost for you. ( we go once a fortnight). just make sure you pay up!!!!!!! or my bro will kill me .
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
WHAT!!! Youre surely not expecting to get money off Shoe Repairers, why do you think Keats and Bexon machine manufacturers stopped making shoe repair machines. For anyone thinking of going there are many traders in the area that are worthy of a visit, sunday is the best for a family root around day out. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Long way to go for a day out, ask ascap29 for guidance as it changes month by month, many of the traders that I used 2 years ago are no loger in existance. Few very cheap tool suppliers if you can spend £75 minimum.
ironplanet uk900
no way, we've found a cash and carry that supplies zippos to us cheaper than zippo or birches do!!!!!!!!go figure They are probably old stock which Zippo themselves move on to thier trade accounts at reduced prices. I suspect Timpsons have alot of this stock, as they are the biggest sellers of Zippos in the uk. And they sell some of them cheaper than we can buy them. I tried to open a trade account with Zippo because I sell so many, but they didn't want to know Charlie B are cheaper than Zippo. I sell alot of Zippo's and I don't think you will get the latest catalogue stock any cheaper than CB.. I spend about £500 per month on Zippo's. Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Can't vouch for the place you've found, But trust me CB are cheaper than Zippo Does quantity come into this equation, would you be spending more than ascap at Seebirches, or is there a fixed price to be had for all. Perhaps a few sample comparisons are in order.

I won't be getting into any price comparisons, my discounts are probley based on quantity, And it would be unfare on my supplier to disclose it. Auto Key Wizard
I enjoy a 12.5 % discount off the Zippo list price from my wholesaler
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
There answers the reson why ascap can get them cheaper elsewhere, he dont purchase the quantity from Seebirch as you guys do!! (unless I'm wrong, as I'm just guessing here folks).

kobblers
i'm, here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just finished formatting my new drive and putting the operating system back on, thought i'd pop on here whilst trying to sort out all my friggin' drivers and their respective updates. i buy none of my zippos in quantity, our turnaround on them doesn't warrant buying in bulk the place i shop has the same price whether you buy one or twenty of the same item. if any of you know phil sullivan, the rep from zippo uk then you'll be interested to know that that's who my suppliers deal with. who's your supplier tel?? i know of no firm that offers that sort of discount under general knowledge, i'd be interested to find out. regards fellas, rick.
