StevenB
My solution to logos in vistool is to use THIS clip art package. (I believe there are newer versions available too) With 600k images, you'll always have something suitable for what your customer wants, plus they are .wmf vector files, so need no work to clean them up once imported. I paid about £80 when I bought the package & have made that back many times over. Reverse engraving - lay out on screen as normal, select the text, then click on the icon which is 2 capital B's back to back with a vertical line in between them (hover your mouse over it & it will say 'Mirror Objects'). This will give you 4 little black crosses around the text, either drag one L-R or top to bottom & your text will swap around. Not quite sure what you mean by horizontal engraving - please explain further...

StevenB
Personally, I would do anything possible to avoid vertical engraving, as (in my opinion) it looks rubbish. However, if it's what the customer specifically wants, I would do it as follows: Set up each letter on a seperate line. Once you've got the engraving on screen, it should be automatically centred. To be certain, select all (CTRL+A), then click SHIFT+Y. To change the line spacing, again select all lines, then click ALT+R, and in the pop up dialogue box, select Tight. Click okay & hey presto, lines rearranged. You can always go back & change the line spacing if you need to by selecting the 'Medium' or 'Loose' options, see which looks best. Marino
Of course can be used on Gravograph's Machines (also suregraves). It's a collections of vectorized images and logos that can be imported on GS5 and GS6.
