Shoe Repairer Forum

Had a customer email me asking to have a couple spares of this key cut

Would normally pass the job on but wouldn't mind using this as a learning opportunity
I don't have a key saw, but I have small files.
NWKeys are checking if they have a suitable blank in stock (otherwise I'll shop around so any advice there too)

Been told to charge £75+ each so that's what I'm going with

Any tips?

I saw his posts while doing a bit of research, amazing results
In my hubris I've told the customer I'll do it, unless they balk at my quote

Depends how long it takes you, look at your local garage hourly charges £40 minimum an hour. Don't undersell your self.

probably more then just needing key copies involved,

does the customer know you will also need the lock in hand to work with ?

the key is bent in more ways then one...,

has been forced it looks like also,

betting the lock does not work smoothly either and drags on the strike area,

lock probably needs repair as well as strike zone

just my far away thoughts...
