Has anyone franchised out their Shop/business or taken on full time staff in order to take a back seat ? I'd like to take a year out to cycle around the planet & take a back set when I get back .

From the start of my business life my goal was to have a full time employee so I can come and go as I please 

In my 35 years of being self employed I have went through dozens of employees and never achieved my goal until a few years ago now I finally have the best employee ever, good time keeper, honest, excellent customer service, the full all round  package, which has been a blessing this last year, its been tough I went through throat cancer and if it wasn't for this man looking after my business I would have been closed for a year of surgery, radiotherapy and recovery

If you can find a good decent employee then your business life will become easier but it takes time to find these gems so good luck with your search

I've had several part time staff over the years that haven't worked out & like yourself I had to take a year out due to illness luckily I had savings to cover it .I'm glad you found someone .

I haven't franchised my business, but I did hire full-time staff to help me take a step back. It's been a game-changer for me. I was able to take some time off and come back feeling refreshed.
