annine91
Hey guys hello everyone. I'm using a Gravograph IM4. I'm not an expert about engraving or this kind of machines, it just happened that I need to make one of these work. Though it seems to present a problem, no matter how much I try to put the plate as straight as possible, this result always comes out (a part is faded and another more pressed). Please let me know if anyone of you know the cause of this or how to fix it. Thanx a lot.
beware
I can't tell from the picture, is that a cutter or diamond drag? Are you using auto-z? In general, increase the depth in the software to push harder to cope with variations in height. Using a depth nose might be required depending on the material and tool. annine91
I am using a cutter. I set z manually, as I am not able to set it automatically. Thanks, I'm checking right now about what is depth noses usage. Do you think that it might be a problem of the machine or rather that I'm not able to use it? beware
It looks like it's working OK. You use a depth nose with a cutter to regulate depth of cut. https://youtu.be/AzO736baVNw
Count Muppet
I get a similar problem with my is200 i put it down to the machine being old, never looked after and worn out. i assume it’s something to do with either the head of the engraver not sitting right on the base or the base part isn’t able to sit flat anymore
