northamptonshoemaker
Does any one know how or if I can wire in a boost switch into my recently acquired Whitfield flash unit ,, it's the old one with 2 round bulbs and no switches
Count Muppet
I'm no expert in these things but my thoughts are that if it hasn't got one already then it can't be fitted. My reason for this thought is that I'm guessing it is already running at full intensity. You could fit something to have it running at a lower heat and return to normal when a button is pushed but you would be no better off. Like I said though, it's not exactly my field of expertise and I may be completely wrong
petercoulson
The Count is no muppet this time, assuming you mean round as screw in bulbs they are on/off not boost ones. The flash activators use a complicated system of wiring to change the voltage bulbs receive but the bulbs have to be the correct type for this (infra red strip lamps) Lee
