Mike at Vauxhall
I supplied a padlock and several keys for the cake shop next door, probably about 6 months ago. A member of their staff broke a key in the padlock. I cut the padlock off and supplied a new padlock and keys ( in return for cake.) All the keys worked smootherly in the maxus padlock. What do you think is most probable. I said to them I felt guilty because I had supplied the padlock and keys, but now I'm not sure. -the key blank was faulty. - the padlock was faulty. - the member of staff was too heavy handed. - or does it come under the heading, oh well shit happens. mrkeys
shit happens It was a staff member not pushing it far enough in the lock then trying to force it to turn with a heavy hand - miss use its as simple as that Mike at Vauxhall
grahamparker
People break keys in locks daily, i get loads in to remove broken parts of keys in rim, euro, padlock, car and motorbike locks. Mike at Vauxhall
Lock Stock
Probably not the keys, biggest issue I see with people and padlocks is them dropping the padlock with key in, which ends up most times with a broken key. silverfern
Definitely not your fault mate. Not saying this situation but people do stupid things all the time. Using their keys to open beer stubbies...... Mike at Vauxhall
