Forest Cobbler
Hi I have a customer asking for a wood plaque, preferably a tree slice, about 30" by 20" with some Punjabi scripture engraved on it. Can any of you suggest where I might be able to get such a thing done, or is it something that one of you could do for us? Many thanks, Valerie
safelycrackers
What species of wood are they after? Can you post a link to the script they want as well?
Forest Cobbler
I would post the pictures that I have been sent, but for some reason I don't appear to be able to upload them. I've tried reducing the size and changing the format but it still fails. I'll keep trying. I don't think that she's worried about the species, she just wants the job done if it's possible. Forest Cobbler
I assume I have to wait to be accepted into the group on Facebook before I can do that. I've clicked on join group and it says it's pending, so I'll have another look in a bit. Thanks, Valerie
Forest Cobbler
http://tinyurl.com/qjbk6ql http://tinyurl.com/ozle4pn At last, here are links to the two pictures. I waited for the lad to come in this morning and let him sort it out for me. So, to reiterate, the plaque needs to be a tree slice, roughly 30 inches by 20 inches with the Punjabi scripture engraved on it. Dr. Shoe
That's a big tree. It needs to be almost 3' wide! That's a circumference of some 10'.
Count Muppet
Only needs to be 20" wide, still pretty big. The signs are usually cut at an angle through the tree
StevenB
I did a big tree slice a couple of years ago, it was around 450-500mm wide. As it was a memorial for a young tree surgeon who was killed in a car accident, the customer was able to supply the wooden slice themselves. Not sure where you would get one from otherwise, unless you happen to know a tame tree surgeon! Hopefully the picture link works: https://www.facebook.com/181300298631861/photos/pb.181300298631861.-2207520000.1437934641./277869078974982/?type=3&theater
Forest Cobbler
Thought you might like to see the finished article which was done by David (aka SafelyCrackers) and/or Karla. My customer is thrilled with it. Mike at Vauxhall
