StevenB
Depends on whether your engraving is going to be predominantly flat (go for the FX5), or if you will need the flexibility of doing rotary too, in which case go for the RX5. I would suggest that for most general shop engraving, the RX5 would be the one to go for. wellsy9
ray
Hi, i'm new to the forum and engraving so hope to learn a lot from you guys. I've just bought an fx5 because it has a 10" x 8" engraving area. Hope to be able to do smaller house plaques, dog discs, and laminated nameplates etc. I don't anticipate doing rotary so that was the deciding factor for me. Also bought the centre vice. Still waiting for it to arrive but should be here in the next week or two. Lee
