actionman
Hi has anyone got or used a HU66 Turbo Decoder? Been having a nosy at it on the internet & looks a good bit of kit, albeit with quite a high price tag. Just wondering what peoples opinion on it are? The websites i've seeb it on only seem to accept Western Union or Bank Transfer! Thanks Craig
MarkD
Too pricey for me, It would never pay for itself. Customers already complain at paying when you open it within a couple of minutes, any quicker and they would probably refuse to pay.
rapidlocks
i can pick and decode most vag locks in under 2 minutes accurately with a lishi 2in1 or 3in1 tool , what benefit does spending that price tag give me in time saving ? negligable , plus they do get broken and a costly repair , with lishi tools priced as they are i dont see any benefit , especially as you need 2 different turbo decoders for gen1 and gen 2 where as 1 x lishi does both in minutes at a fraction of cost . TWalters
its a gimmick imo. have had both. found it easier to read the lishi than the turbo decoder for cutting keys. i bought one before i bought the cut to code machine under the false illusion i could trace from it and program the key chip etc. the different generation required for door and ignition in most cases made it useless for turning ignition once door was open. using the lishi guides speeded up and increased my picking success rate far more effectively and a fraction of the cost. hibsjo(SCO)
if youve got the money (and it works) go for it heard lots of story about breakages you can never have too many tools in your box carry on!
rapidlocks
be careful if buying from china , ive had a number of emails recently from china resellers offering there cloned version of the turbo decoder at $420 usd , they have cloned it and the writing on the tool says urbo decoder from what i can see from the pictures they sent . the original was easily broken so id guess the clone wont be better but worse and could be a poor buy , but its been cloned , currently they want $420 usd but im sure if sales are slow it will drop drastically , beware the counterfeit copy as buying the copy gives you zero comeback and no chance of warranty repair . stick with lishi as does the job well and the bonus is only 1 lishi tool at under £50 is needed to do all gen 1 and 2 where as 2 x turbo decoders are needed for gen 1 and 2 , its a lovely looking tool the genuine one of course but not practical or viable for me. below is thephoto sent to me by the chinese resellers, beware if believing them to be genuine
