just sat and watched a video on facebook where a young handicapped boy asks his dad to run a marathon with him the dad says yes and does it the boy asks him to do another one and again the dad says yes then the boy asks him to do the iron man with him and the dad says yes again and does the swim towing the boy in an inflatable then the bike ride with him in aseat on the front of the bike then does the run pushing him in a wheel chair so there is your insperation lads so go for it and the best of luck to you all

Mark Edwards was my inspiration a few years back to the world of Ironman, He lost stakes of weight to turn his life around & ran an Ironman. I was at a point where I couldn't run about & play with my kids & was a bit down in the dumps myself & began the long road to the Iron lifestyle.

 

Now a few years on I have Mark as my trainer & am just over a week away from doing my second Ironman in Wales on the 14th. "We" (forum members) will have Dean Edwards (who qualified for the world championships this year) & Jay Edwards (running his first Ironman) along with their Mum, Annette Edwards (previous age group champion!) Derek Jennings, first time iron runner & myself on the start line. You will be able to track us on the day from

I tip Dean & Annette to be in the top rankings & Jay to be very high up in his age group rankings so it will be an exciting day. the race starts at 7am.
