Would help if you say what has been messed up. Might seem a daft answer but Swatkins can delete the old engraving and replate....

Letter missed out Rang swatkins but only direct me to nearest supplier who doesn't trade any longer so looking for answer on forum that's exactly what I was hoping for delete and re plate

You would have to post this item therefore making it expensive as it has to be returned to you,

I would suggest you 'bite the bullet' and just order a new one - this will save you time and probably keep your customer happy.

Otherwise try a small jeweller one near me has somehow made one for me nearly impossible to notice and after re-engraving I really struggled to see the mistake

Swatkins recently removed some engraving and replated a cup for me. Was expensive but the cup was huge and looked as new when done.

 

Maybee you spoke to the wrong person, but swatkins are the best people to do the cup for you.

 

With carriage both ways it may be cheaper to replace the cup with a new one depending on the cost.
