Paul_
Hi Can anyone shed some light on how you price up brass (and jewellers brass) and laminate signs. I've asked a mate who does more engraving than me and he charges by the letter and some multiple of square cms...all sounded very confusing. I've looked up how much the materials cost per sheet but just wanted some advice on how you price yours. All help much appreciated. Paul
Simes
I'll be interested in this too. Getting the prices right can be a tricky one.
grahamparker
We use the per letter, per square inch method and have done for well over 30 years, works well for us.

How much per letter and how much per square inch if you don't mind me asking.
StevenB
Birches do a useful price list for brass & acrylic signs, it's on their sign order forms you hand out to customers & is a useful reference to keep in the shop. The price is based on the size of the sign & includes the first 100 letters engraved, extra is at an additional charge. It's a pricing matrix, so you just look along one side to get the width, the other side for the height & where the columns meet is the price. Nice & simple & you spend much less time counting letters...
