nscot
can anybody help i have a gravograph is200 with a problem , when i switch on it does not reach "ready to receive" stage it only boots up to setup stage , the psu is fine and the fan is running , i contacted gravograph by phone and they seem to think the problem maybe to replace the small board that excepts the parrallel cable at a exchange cost of £251.50 +vat also a additional £68 + vat labour per hour that cost does not include taking it to there premises . has anybody had this problem before , i am not convinced it is the problem any info would be grateful

nscot
Thanks guys for advice , i think craig has shares in umarq, i used to be a electronics engineer down to component level and to buy the panel and fit myself gravograph say i have to get them to fit it???? so i can be charged for labour etc.... I think its a boot menu startup problem as the screen will read setup . i also think it is a case of resetting the eprom but need the code to reset as all the components check o.k. Remember the printers that would stop after so long because of a counter chip that as to be reset ??
k4mrc
HOLD ON.... can anybody help i have a gravograph is200 with a problem , when i switch on it does not reach "ready to receive" stage it only boots up to setup stage , the psu is fine and the fan is running this has happened to me, more than once, turn off is200. Check your printer path - cancel any pending jobs, re-boot gravostyle, then try turning back on. This HAS saved me several times. Hope it helps you.
