St.Am92
Just had heart palpatations. Icloned a nissan primastar van key, went thru the procedure all ok. Went out to the van to check and the original remote would'nt unlock the doors, opened with key,put copy in ignition and nothing! Put original in and nothing ! Sat in van for a few seconds thinking WTF! Thinking i'd done something wrong i rang Lock decoders up for advice,he assured me that i could'nt of done anything to the original key. Was thinking this is going to cost me an auto locksmith call out. Anyway,i went back to the van and to try again and thankfully the remote worked and both keys worked. Not what you need as a first customer on a sat morning. But alls well that ends well and £70 in the till. Phew....

holly12345
Did lock decoders tell why this happened?
St.Am92
Did lock decoders tell why this happened? No. He said he has'nt had any reported problems with this vehicle make. I'm at a loss why it happened, just grateful it resolved itself. A simple id 46 cloning gave me an hour of headache this morning.
Simes
I've had similar on a Hyundai Elantra. Use of a non-programmed key results in a 30 second ECU lock. Must detect the non programmed chip. Yep! I panicked too! Lol

Mark Davis
All the Primstar/Traffic/Vivaros ive seen have alarms, how do you get on turning that off with a non remote spare key?
lock&quay
Where I live most people don't need alarms & they only get on peoples nerves when they go off . On my Nissan primastar if I lock it with the key & unlock it with the key the alarm is not set off .
