Marky
Hi, After a few weeks of trial and error I've been playing around with vectorising images and am getting the hang of it now. I can do a decent job of converting jpgs to EPS files and then engraving them, however I can't see how to add cross hatching to make the design stand out a little more. Any ideas would be appreciated. Mark.
stevecoco
What software are you using?
Marky
The software is artcam express. Very good for the vectorisation, but the cross hatching seems to be very cumbersome indeed so need to find another solution. Mark.

hakeemz
cross hatching function can be applied using your gravo software..hover above an icon looking like a pencil with 3 lines flowing from it (could be diff on your software) it should say fill when you keep your cursor on it..just click on it and hatching window will open,,post on here once you have done this
kev
Marky, unfortunately you cannot hatch fill in the standard Discovery level. The long way around it is to fill the image using an offset - if you want to do it with the click of a button you need to unlock the option in the software or upgrade to Discovery Max (which also includes a powerful vectorising tool) Both solutions come at a cost though however. Ask your Gravograph Rep for a demo/quote
Marky
That's a shame. I'll ask the rep when I next speak to him. Thanks for your help. Mark
Lee
Save the job as an eps upload it & someone on the forum will hatch it for you and add the modified file. Job done for a £5 donation to the Jimmy Mizen foundation. Lee
