inscriptio
Would a compressor with the following details be suitable to run a bench press & air guns? Oil free with 24lt receiver tank max pressure 8 bar airflow 110 l/m 3.9cfm Cheers. Colin.
Lee
yes, but consider a Bambi silent compressor. Makes the world of difference to the working environment not having to listen to a compressor thundering away. Lee
inscriptio
What about this? Bambi 15 litre air receiver 220-240 vac Output 50 litres/min (1.75 cfm) Displacement Max pressure 8 bar (116 psi)
Gray
I have a 50ltr oil free that runs my press gun and sandblaster but it's down in the cellar so noise don't bother me to much. bambi's are very quiet but would not be big enough for the sandblaster
inscriptio
Thanks gray, I will have no room for my sandblaster In the new shop so I just need to run guns & press I just need to be sure that I am not under-gunned I am trying to do everything on a shoestring (excuse the puns)
petercoulson
depends on the press, 15litres is quite small tank size (may not be enough to fire press properly) normally about 24litres is needed. 3.9cfm is also quite weak (again depends on press but after firing press it might mean waiting for it to recharge before using guns). I repeat that this all depends on the press you are expecting to run.
Lee
i run a 25litre bambi for the extra it costs I'd recommend it 100% small & compact, sits under my press. http://www.aircomps.co.uk/2010/07/bambi ... ompressor/
Simes
I concur with Lee. Bambi everytime.
petercoulson
We have used bambi but have had some reliability issues with some of them, we also supply Junair which have proved ultra reliable but just this month they put their prices through the roof ( almost doubled) The silent compressors are good but keep an eye on the oil level and only use recommended oil, they don't like engine oil as most compressors do. And because of the cfm they aren't much use for double presses like powe ones
