burghlocks
Payatrader update - Chip and pin terminal will be up and running by the end of next month, they had a delay in getting the terminals passed but that's all sorted now.
mrkeys
I changed from Streamline to Cardsave and have to say Cardsave are a million times better plus cheaper. If you change though you have to go 6 - 8 weeks before they will take you on - this is because as mentioned earlier in the thread Streamline & Cardsave are the same company and you have to wait for the agreement to fully nullify (If that's even a word) You can also contact Cardsave after 1 year of being with them and they will even reduce your fees further for loyalty. Not everyone is aware of this so do yourselves a favor if you are already with Cardsave ring them up and say hey can my charges be reduced for my loyalty bonus. You can do exactly the same with Streamline.I did. If you put enough money through your terminal the rates offered are very competetive.

The very reason I changed was because Streamline would not reduce my charges for loyalty. Yet my bank manager that gave me the contact said they did reduce the charges after 1 year. The answer came back from streamline "sorry our charges are clearly laid out and are set in stone, we do not preferentiate between retailers and terminal holders" So I cancelled and swapped to Cardsave simples I hate it how they change their tune from person to person

grahamparker
Padlocks, master keying and transponder work mainly but a lot of our account customers now ring to pay by credit card. Police force,Millenium Chemicals and promanex are three of the biggest credit card payers.
Autotechnix
Last November I changed from Streamline back to Barclays and with a bit of gentle negotiating I got them down to 13p per debit card transaction and 1.2% on standard credit cards, the terminal is £15 per month. I also have a sign on prominent display which says that there is a 2% additional charge for using credit cards, this makes an excellent tool to encourage customers use a debit card when they can We have never actually charged the 2% but it saves us a fortune by just having the sign Just a thought. Forgot about this thread, very sorry for the late reply. I only put about 15k through it last year most of our customers are cash paying
