Growster
I am not looking to get this key identified for commercial gain, this is just a riddle. This key does not open anything. The key always stays in the same location, the lock comes to the key. Any suggestions what this could be for?

DC77
I am with Mick. I think it is a key from a key station for a watchmans patrol clock. Similar to:- http://www.centraltimeclock.com/security/watchclock.php DC
Gray
So that's a bag of malteasers between you then..Did I get too tedious there?
DC77
It was easy for Mick and I because of our age. Thirty years ago I set up a system like this for a local car dealership. The security man kept falling asleep inside the cars. He still fell asleep but bought a alarm clock to wake him up to do his round. Growster
The prize is a sincere respectful nod in the direction of Mr Friend, who was the first to provide a correct solution. Who's got the next riddle?
