ANDY
hi chaps my engraving quality is a bit jaggedy now on the laser, not crisp anymore...bit liney on bigger letters on your LS100 can you do a quick test for me on the main engraving bit with the lens and mirror thats swishes back and forth can you grab the twisty nut that holds the lens in and see if you can wobble the unit up and down on the runner mine seems to have a lot of play in it? i've given all the alan key nuts a small twist but still the same this machine is like the six million dollar man now....i think the box is the only original part
grahamparker
Hi Andy, Just checked my ls100 and it is tight no real movement at all. I did a pint glass yesterday that looked great but halfway through it decided to shift all the text up by about 1mm. So i turned it of/on again did another and no problems at all. I assume you have taken out the lens and checked for cracks or blemishes. My machine has also had to have some replacement parts as well and they don't come cheap. petercoulson
Cant answer fully for the gravo machine but on a universal machine there are 3 things to check: 1. there is an adjustment for tickle (how much either side the head goes over) 2. there is a long belt that drives the head and needs adjusting from time to time 3. laser cartridge may be needing re-charging
ANDY
1. tickled 2. tightened 3. will a flux capacitor work? this is an exagerated example of whats happening, also engraving on the left side of the bed feels ruffer than the right side if you scratch it with yer nail
