Skoda Fabia Remote

Had a customer in the shop yesterday who ordered a remote for a Corsa. No Problem! While in we put his remote key for his Skoda in our Zedbull to see if it was cloneable. Since then the customer tells me the remote hasn't worked! Now I don't believe it was anything to do with the Zedbull but can understand the customers sceptisicm as it did genuinely seem to stop immediately after leaving the shop! The customer is not being difficult and is still getting other key done but I would like to assist him with his remote.

 

Battery is fine, lights come on and buttons feel good. I tried to manually reprogram it to the car but had no luck. I did get the led on the remote flashing quickly though didn't get any sound from the car horn which I believe is part of the procedure.

 

Any ideas? Skoda Fabia 52 reg

have you tried programming it back in diagnosticaly that works better than manual procedures and have u tested the remote on a remote tester

Reading a transponder on Zed-BULL or other device does not effect RKE functions.

 

Two keys are required to perform manual remote programming on VAG.

Unsure why it was considered that a ID48 transponder could possibly be cloned, or attempting to read it in the first instance

We're not all as clever or as experienced as you Terry I didn't know what chip was inside, that's the point of the Zedbull isn't it? To read the chips? Otherwise we wouldn't need a read function

To be fair, I do read ID48 transponder logic, but that would be for writing the logic into an immobiliser dump \:D/

Hi Mick, I missed meeting you at the Auto Convention, were you the one with a full beard & under the desk in the foyer?

This reading should not have affected the RKE on the car. I think it was already faulty. You need a remote tester to check whether it is transmitting as the light coming on means nothing. What year is the Fabia?
