grahamparker
I ordered all sorts of different keys cut to different patterns on genuine key blanks from aldridges years ago. We just fit new levers to match the key.The lever and key sets supplied by chubb have been very poor over the last few years and quite often you had to widen one or two of the gates to stop the lock jamming when locking, even when fitting into a brand new case. I fell lucky recently as we bought out the stock of a local hardware shop and a box turned up full of chubb, union, ingersoll, era and legge levers and this has been a great help. In answer to your question to make a key to fit the lock as it was, decode the lever heights and order a cut key from your suppliers im sure sks, davenports, keyprint and many others csould do this for you.Saves a lot of time in the long run. Also check the curtain for wear as this can also cause problems to.
slippy
New set of levers inc 2 keys costs about £18 = Vat n post. I would charge £10 for the 1st. I charge £6 for a normal 3/5 lever.

Jay
I charged my customer £25 to make the key to the existing levers in the lock, more profit in our pocket then the usual £5.99 for extra keys. i explained that a new lock would set him back £100 so he was happy

lockpicker1969
Cutting a key by had to a 3g110 is 1 of the 4 parts required to pass the BLI British locksmith institute exam, thus earning you the right to call yourself a qualified master locksmith. Your right don’t sell yourself short there’s not a lot of people can do it.
