Shoe Repairer Forum

Recommended Posts

had a conversation with some one today about the prices we all charge for toe prices against the price we charge for stick on soles.

the topic was - why charge less for toe pieces when they take longer to repair?

which got me thinking - perhaps we should charge the same price for toe pieces that we charge for stick on soles?

what do you guys do?

There can be the exception to the rule.

Gents Leather stitches toes can be just as time consuming as half soles.(does anyone still do them).

Some ladies shoes/boots are so badly worn at the toes that major work is required, this can mean longer time is needed than the time to do SAS work.(and far more skill needed).

Not the case Hugh, because if they are that badly worn, you would charge more for the repair, whether they had toes or soles. The toe would still need repairing. So the extra cost would be on the toe piece or the sole. 8)
