earlsdoncobbler
i have always had trouble i doing the black bottoms on cup plinths i see it says in the mastergrave you need to use a carbide cutter then use soft filler wax . i use a cutter maybe not the right angle then fill with wax that i brought from them but after i rub the excess off nearly all the wax comes out so i have to start again i do not do many of these any thoughts on this
Danny King
Hi I hate these too I have a suregrave machine and I find the best results are using a spinning diamond tip, I run it thru the machine twice.

ANDY
forgot to add. with annuals,, I use a spring tip diamond and run it on clear tape to line up entry first. then I swap for a cutter and cone turn motor on and run the job. works great for me. earlsdoncobbler
i ordered a tungsten cutter from mastergrave which they grind for these plinths and they told me to use a fine plastic nose cone the result was top dollar the best i have ever done did it first with no practice so i will be more confident when they now come in
