Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
Try both at £6 Danny, the work is the same and the cost of the heels aint that much different. go for it, you can allways drop back at any time.
bristolcobbler
£5 for both pu and metal Thats way to cheap For Bristol in my opinion, I was charging £7 and that was over 3 years ago. And dont say people will not pay it, they will, just look at the Timpson store in the center, takes up to £7000 per week. where my shop is positioned there is another independent shoe repairer within 500 yards so you cant get to greedy, but i think by charging £5 customers normally bring in a few pairs at a time where as if your charging 7-8 quid they might think of having only one pair this week and get the others done later,so in fact for a little more work u could earn more.xminit did you say you used to work in clifton though, money grows on trees there. ironplanet uk900
Put your prices up little, and often. Big price increases upset your regulars, On stilletos I'd say 10-15p increase 3-4 times a year.

Guest NZCob
Yep...I work in $$, and its always a worry about putting prices up. Just do it 50p at a time. Just imagine if you do (make it easy) 2000 ladies heels a year, you'll earn an extra 1000 quid a year (you guys are still pounds sterling right?) just by tagging that extra 50p on your price,
