Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
I will say that the sole in the photo is a good starting point for the competition, even though not done on an outsoler it is a uniform channel, evenly spaced stitches although rather large, and a clean bottom, obviously cleaned with a well known brand of toilet paper. I will also bet that more than half the entries are not that good even when completed!!

x minit uk
Yup agree with you there Hugh, many people now in the trade were trained in that center and are top class repairers. Trainers like Keith Chapman, Mick Glover, and Dave Waring were all top Blokes and good tradesmen.

ironplanet uk900
I worked for Minit and I was ace where did you go wrong then? They never had a blake in his shop. I was a relief manager on there in-store bars, they didn't have any stitching machines. I hated every day and left and went to sketchleys who only had DN76's and expected you to blake all.........I left there as well, thats why I always held Timpsons in high regard, they were my first employers, none of the others could hold a light to em. Credit were its due.
