kobblers
this is a question that i've been meaning to ask for while: does anyone know why the fuse blows on our k and b main machine when you turn the scouring band and the fan on together? we've noticed the same happens on the 700 we've aquired too. cheers, rick
keithm
How is it connected to the supply and what rating is the fusing? I hope it's not a 3 pin plug like many I've seen It should be on a 20amp or 32amp isolator assuming it's single phase Keith

petercoulson
This may happen especially if it is single phase. even though motors are rated at xx amps this is the running current. when you turn them on they leap up the amps scale and settle down very quickly but turning on 2 or more at the same time can cause problems. the other thing to consider is the newer installations that are on circuit breakers, by their very nature they are designed to cut out very quickly if there is a problem (mili seconds) and you can get different ratings in these. most households and shops use B class but we normally recommend C class which have a longer cut out time to eliminate any surge problems, particularly with power units that have foot pedals designed to start more than 1 motor at a time.
