Auto Key Wizard
Not quite true, The WMS8 will go into a WMS7 keyway, but a WMS7 won't go into a WMS8 keyway
ironplanet uk900
Eeer So I was right It will go in, but it won't work unless you cut it from the flute.
kobblers
does that mean the wms8 will do as a substitute for the wms7 then tel? or do they sit differently?
'Onest Andy
I only stock the WMS8 ... I find that it works for both ... Never had a problem yet...
ironplanet uk900
Personally I don't see the point in using the wrong blank just to save stocking the correct one. It just creates problems further down the line. I had a customer come in the shop last week and had 3 1A's cut, Her key was a 1A, she asked for funkeys, she brought them back saying they wouldn't go in I asked her if she had the original. When she brought it in it was a N9CS, I cut them on N9CS funkeys and they were fine. Just an example of the problems it can cause.
Auto Key Wizard
Yup, I had that same scenario yesterday, 1A's used for Cisa & shortened down, oh how I despise the lazy key cutters
kobblers
mine has nowt to do with being lazy and everything to do with space we use the ulo funkeys to do anything with a 1a sorta profile. never had a problem yet.
