Guest blank
did you make any? did you make any about your businesses? we can all make them for personnel reasons, great and they dont usaully last past feb. but i have made one for the business - and can recommend you do the same. i have over the last few years had a certain problem with a supplier, reading the forum can say u all have the same one. i placed an order for stock - needed it urgently - the co i ordered off failed to deliver - i telephoned them and as they didn't have it cancelled the order and got it from another, 3 or 4 weeks went by and i got an invoice off the supplier who couldn't deliver! wow - anyway called them and no problem would get a credit note! when it arrived they took 15% off (saying discount) i called them straight away, - and i'm still having same problem, anyway i have stopped ordering off them till this and another couple of invoice problems (with this wholesaler are sorted) anyhow wont bore u with it all except it's getting to solicitors stage and my brief has advised me of my n.y.resolution. get a large diary, always put in it what you order and how much your quoted with the name of the person. and when it gets shitty you have precise details of all your problems. happy new year to you all - and one last thing - i'm glad t6o be back!!
ironplanet uk900
I must say I don't get any problems with suppliers. If I do they normally sort it right away. If I had the problem that I needed legal advice, then I'd just stop using the supplier. Diplomacy and talking to the right people within the company involved should sort out any problems before it gets silly.
Guest blank
so that the same for me, (normally) this has gone on and no, up to recently i was still getting stock from them. problem is i have got fed up with being ripped off... no names of any body but when your quoted a price then get the bill - one problem when you cancel an order then get billed with it (even though you have not received it) another problem... but these things with any company can go wrong, and i usaully will put up with any body or company that is genuinly trying to be helpful and can forgive and forget.; but the elastic has snapped!! Lee
Funny thing is, I for the first time ever have a Diary this year! only a pocket one. But with this advice it will be ideal for little notes of who said what! Good tip. My New Years Resolution is to be as un-fit as possible, feed up worrying about my weight. it will only makes me ill. This year I might even take up smoking and anti social behaviour. New years resolutions are all about making yourself a better person, I'm already perfect so thought I would take a step backwards then next year I will have some resolutions to make. keithm
Just a consideration chaps, most of you appear to be using windows based computer engraving systems. MS Outlook is a wonderful tool for time management, diaries, contacts, etc, coupled with a small PDA you can link it into your home pc to carry over all your data. No, I'm not selling any on the cheap Keith Ps Not posted much lately as we've been extremely busy, busiest Dec/Jan for years
Lee
No, I'm not selling any on the cheap Keith You don't sell any thing CHEAP though do you Keith! A good idea using windows, I use mine for memorable dates, but never given it much consideration as a daily diary. Lee
keithm
Buy cheap buy twice !! Cheap is a by word for something you havn't given much thought to. In business, you NEED to think when making purchases, my opinion of course. Lee, I plan almost everything I do around Outlook, you'll be amazed how much time you save and how many mistakes you don't make. Or indeed, how many things you don't forget!!! I don't know how you can run your business and this site without it to be honest!! Keith

Keith Talent Of cause we can all use technology, but sometimes a mixture of old a new work well, you can't beat a note pad and pen sometimes.
