tommy
Could any of you wise fellows please help. I have a customer waiting to buy a key from me and until I know how to program it I am not prepared to buy one. The vehicle is a 2001 Daihatsu YRV and I have no paper work other than I know it is programmed by the car rather than my coding machine. So do I need a master key and need to be opening and shutting doors as with toyota. I have contacted my suppliers who have not got back to me (suprise suprise) Thanks in advance. 'Onest Andy
What kind opf chip does they key have? Is it a crypto chip? Can your machine read the chip type and code?
tommy
My machine does not even pick up on the chip at all, just like trying a ford key in it. So I am afraid I do not know what type of chip it is.

tommy
My machine is an Orion - Micro Era for most keys upto 2000 but will not read Ford or any others that use a master key system. Have looked at them but 99% of customers are not prepared to pay £50 for a Ford key when they have lost their master key
'Onest Andy
My machine is an Orion - Micro Era for most keys upto 2000 but will not read Ford or any others that use a master key system. Have looked at them but 99% of customers are not prepared to pay £50 for a Ford key when they have lost their master key I use the Bianchi. This machine is able to read the Ford keys and using a texas chip blank I can supply the customer with a new key even if they don't have their master ( Crypto chips being the exception) . I tell the customer I quite understand their reluctance to spend all that money on a key ( In my case £60) but I find telling them that if they lose the only key they have they will be facing a potential bill of £1500 to have the car reprogrammed and new keys... you'd be surprised how that swings alot of them. Guest brentlee
yrv is a 4c texac transponder. you could use the silca texcode blanks which clone the key or the keyline keys on the biannchi 883 machine. i am still looking for program instructions, but have you tried the owners manual of the car or ring a diahatsu dealer spare parts and ask them to fax you the procedure as it is a 5 yr old car and concievably you (the "owner") may have lost or not recieved the manual with the car. hope this helps cheers brett
hibsjo(SCO)
Dump the micro era no use in todays climate. You need an rw2/3 or bianchi
