Magnum key

Any one had this problem ?

The 1.5 mm cutter won’t go down snake track on a magnum key .

any input would be good .

When I was doing them on my mustang I used a 1.5 cutter in both

Yes that what I use but the 1.5 tracer won’t travel down the snake cut ! Weird I know .

Checked the tracer on micrometer and it’s 1.5 mm .

I tried getting one about 1.4 but with no success, unless you know someone good with a lathe and get it machined down.

It wont help you with this job, but get a 1.2mm cutter and tracer.  I've had the same issues on magnum/yale (very few) and apecs/mila (slightly more common)

Had the same with the Apecs track

I just used an old cutter as the tracer and they all worked fine

Nice one , good idea !!! Will try that . Sounds like I’m not the only one have this issue!
