kobblers
Is it just me or do these keys appear to have the same bitting? I read the Silca one as 23322 - the other one looks almost identical as the 1st, 4th and 5th cuts look too deep to be number 1 depths. The punter says they're definitely different as he's tried them both in both locks. I can't check 'em with calipers as it's an internet query. Rick. keithm
I would say the top one is his original as it's quite worn, the bottom 'version' looks a little shallow to me and I think he's had it cut somewhere but it doesn't work ? But what do I know
Trev
Hi, I've scaled the second key to the same size as the first and drawn a red line around it, then pasted the red line onto the first image. The depth of cuts do look somewhat different. The depth of the groove looks different as well, although that would only effect whether the key would fit into the lock. HowardK
if I recall, ilco X119 / YH47 = Silca YH28
Safecracker
Hi Trev, The pics are nifty, what program or how did you draw the lines around the key? Cheers
Trev
Hi, I used the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). GIMP is a cross-platform image editor available for GNU/Linux, macOS, Windows and more operating systems. It is free software, you can change its source code and distribute your changes. The web address is https://www.gimp.org/ Trev
