SEBLTD
Good morning, wanted to know if anyone could help. We have a key/lock the code was lost for and don't want to replace the barrel ideally, is there anyway to reverse engineer from the key? I think it is a security key, so took it to a locksmith and they said you need a code. Photo's of key Hopefully those photo's are clear and helpful. Any advice appreciated. You have a bit of an issue asking on here and hopefully this explains why. You didn't take it to a very good locksmith then if they cannot cut the key for you and it is very easy to work out the code but not many members on here will give you the code to a photo as there is no proof you actually own the key or lock (imagine if it was your house key and i sold one to a thief who had managed to get a photo of your house key). Try another professional key cutters or locksmiths who have the knowledge required. I have no issue giving out codes to customers who walk through my door but we have to be careful when dealing with photo's as we cannot see who we are dealing with. SEBLTD
Thank you for the advise, and an understandable viewpoint. I'll try a better locksmith and see if they can help.
