DiceyReilly
Hi everyone, I am relatively new to all this. I have an old Mastergrave Universal and I was wanting to have a go at doing a brass plaque for a memorial chair at my bowling club. How do you infill the engraving and what is the best way to turn the lettering black or other colours. Many Thanks
safelycrackers
Sorry I don't know about the Mastergrave Universal, but infilling the text with enamel paint and cleaning off any excess with white spirit is the way to turn the lettering black. Michael
Engrave down to about 0.3mm deep (8-10 clicks on the nose cone) Fill with cellulose paint and use a plastic squeegee to scrape off the excess When dry, wrap a pet disc (or anything flat) in a lint free cloth and clean surface with methylated spirits Polish with Peek using the same technique as above. kobblers
