Polishing mops and brushes

Need to change the polishing brushes on my Standard Lynx and was also looking at the pads, I noticed on the website they do a linen pad and a cotton mop.

Any differences in quality of finish, lifespan etc. or just personal preference?

 

What are they fitting from new nowadays?

My old Power Unit had mops. They were great for speed but the pads give a better finish in my opinion.

We fit mops to all the machines but supply the linen (hard) pads to order. I think it is a preference thing, the linen pads replaced the old leather pads and are great for a finish around the soles but mops can be used on the uppers as well

So at the moment I use pads to apply wax to edges and brushes to buff to a shine, how would I use mops, instead of pads to apply wax and brushes to finish I presume?

My advice is stick to what you know Michael, I don't believe you should change your way of working/finishing to accommodate something that makes little difference  we can of course supply both
