stevecoco
Looking to order new crowns and stem for 2 watches, problem is getting the right parts first time. Watch 1 is a Fossil with a Miyota movement JS25 the only ident number on it Watch 2 is a Timex Indiglo WR50M the crown sits in between shoulders on casing, no numbers on movement that I can see. This is a first time go at this for me, any sage words of wisdom would be great guys. CoCo
Mike at Vauxhall
Try the cousins website for the fossil parts. Timex parts don't tend to be available, most timex are unrepairable. stevecoco
derek
post up some pictures Steve, here's a link for the js25 movement https://www.cousinsuk.com/category/watch-movement-search-by-calibre-only if it's a stem and crown only then try Ian @ Jevon & Stanley 01902 426309, Cousins do box sets of crowns & stems too, that can be handy to keep in stock stevecoco
Mike at Vauxhall
Bit of a piss poor answer by me. You don't need fossil parts, the crowns are generic sizes. Would still be wary of any repair on a timex. Promise to read the posts properly next time. stevecoco

Lee
you can buy generic sets of crowns with a good selection in them. you need to not worry about the movement you need to measure the stem to get the thread you need .9mm for example. measure the pendent tube & the width of crown you think you need then use Cousins website to establish what you need. easy. Not everythings available I had one recently I couldn't get a generic crown anywhere for & an original wasn't available. Jevon & Stanley can sometimes get things other material houses can't too. stevecoco

Mike at Vauxhall
Dont touch the Timex Steve, Carlsberg don't give advice on watch repairs, but if they did, that's the advice they would give.
derek
Dont touch the Timex Steve, just done a new glass on a Timex last week, getting the circlips back on the pushers was a pain other than that not anything major in doing the repair imo
