'Onest Andy
Hello People, I've just had contact from a friend of mine over in Indiana USA. He's an English guy who is currently a serving Police Officer over in the USA. He is trying to locate a pair of Chubb Escort Handcuffs. As he's not too impressed with his standard issue items. I'm wondering if anyone out there may have some idea where these may be available at a sensible price... Many thanks Andy

Bovey
The Chubb escort handcuffs are only any use for compliant prisoners who are being transported to court or prison. They are too cumbersome to carry about for daily use and are not practical for daily use as you have to totally separate the cuff, put it on one hand then separate the other cuff and place that on the other hand. UK Police Forces stopped using these back in the 1990's A better option would be the rigid handcuff with the long key as used by UK Police Forces. They are light, easy to carry around on your person, ready for use at all times, easy to apply, even to a prisoner that is struggling and easier to control the prisoner once applied. It may just be that UK Police Forces use a better version than the USA
