Mick Friend
It works differently in the USA you have to register Now the fee pre-show is $125 or $200 on the door - They used to set a limit of the numbers allowed to attend- not sure that happens now- A lot of the demo's are free but the training is a paid for extra $150 a shot - the pass covers both days and all the floor shows free. Imagine me charging £100 to get into ALEX? (which is 4th and 5th October at a new venue - check www.alexpo.co.uk) I have never been but I have been told Just Cars is very good, but very american bro
rapidlocks
its a great show run by great people , ive had the honour of working at a few of these as well as a few ALOA shows , the shows are well presented , well attended and attendees fully vetted , the classes are excellent and in depth delivered by experienced locksmiths and there is always plenty of variety. they know how to party afterwards too , ive had a 2 year hangover from a session with ken peterson and many good memories. ive done many shows , shows in 7 countries now , i hate to say it , but none match up to the usa shows for size organisation and content , if any of you can get to one then do it , its an awesome experience. keymaker
Agree wholeheartedly with rapidlocks. I had the privilege to attend last year's JustCars at Las Vegas. Totally different experience watching how they do shows over there. Very busy two days demonstrating for Lockdecoders, answering questions to dedicated locksmiths who take their profession seriously. Hospitality was first class, although if you plan on going on a 36 hour bender, it's best to slowly unravel a substantial ball of string as you go.... rapidlocks
richard and i did a drinks crawl and had one in every hotel and as many bars as we could over 2 show trips to vegas , after all thats what vegas is for , its a huge adult playground , the margurita bar stands out , hooters in vegas was a let down as every hooters girl was hevily pregnant . the just cars show in vegas is made better by the venue , bang in the middle of the nascar track , its an experience. i think that is the difference at the usa shows , they were all very serious about their trade and career , serious about training and all extremely skilled and full of knowledge , i learnt more from them than i expected , no one comes close to them for lock stripping and rekeying , i picked up alot of handy tips on this side . the biggest difference with the usa shows for me was the shows are not all about sales , sales and education had equal coverage , the classes were full to the brim even the paid for ones , and as all vetted nothing is held back . great shows and even better venues , over 600 auto locksmiths hitting town in vegas on a jolly , over 2000 at aloa in vegas , its an experience
