K&B Operators manual

Recommended Posts

Does any one know were i can get destruction's,operators manual for a k&B model 846.

I have been using a Shultz machine up until now, being new to this game i am not familiar with the names/parts of the machine. Tried to ask my supplier for the wee small grit wheel, think there spira bands . He didn't seem to know what i am on about lol Also asked him about the heel trimmer wheel but he basically said no one really uses them.

I don't think we have manuals for the 846 any more, hopefully someone will be able to help but is this a replacement for the Chinese Schultz? Are you after the parts for the K&B? If so ring Neill on 01162717152 and we should be able to help. If it is for the China Schultz then he has some knowledge of these but it could be hit and miss getting them.

Was there a problem with the Schultz machine?

Hi Keith .The shultz machine has limited ability . It has no trimming or cutting wheels just one 40mm 80 grit finishing wheel. No Naum Keg and for brushes and so on only one friction mop and one horse hair brush. What I think you call a breaster is a metal coated contraption which doe not work the best. Worst of all is the dust extraction which is awful. If i have a busy day lets just say everything turns black lol

The funny thing is, every one calls it a Chinese pile. But there actually made in Hungary it is stamped on the side. Also there site is Hungarian too !

The guy that taught me had a old wh&b i think it is that was 40 to 50 years old. Basically as the years went on parts started to give up until he was using the 24grit and 80 grit for everything. That's basically how I have been taught .

Hi Smokedog, whatever your Schultz said it is Chinese - the Hungarians are shifting them around I don't know which model you had but I would think it looked something the finisher part (we have one in our place awaiting scrap man):

No that's completely different to what I got that even looks Chinese.

This is what I have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-SCHULTZ-SHOE-REPAIR-MACHINE-BAND-SCOURER-/161255582043?pt=UK_CraftsCollect_SewingMachines_RL&hash=item258b94e95b

They had me fooled tbh. I will just use the Shultz for the brushes/mop. The K&B might be old but it can do a lot more for me, so I will use it until i can go for something more modern and not Chinese. Chinese might make shit shoe machines but there food is lovely lol ! Nothing like a honey chilly chicken.
