autolock
Has anyone had any 3 phase motors converted to single phase and if so was it successful..reason I ask is I took a single phase motor to be repaired to a motor repair company and there was a bloke having a motor converted off a car ramp from 3 phase to single so when I enquired the bloke told me they can do it and they put them on a rig to tell me what power the motor was producing but he did say it was a lot cheaper than buying a converter. But not as reliable as the 3 phase motor.so just wandering if anyone has had it done and was it any good. Thanks
elfman
if you have a 1 hp motor it it is a 1hp motor if it single or 3 phase the difference is that a 3 phase is more like a direct current instead of alternating current in simple terms that means if you apply enough pressure on a single phase it will stop the motor but the same pressure on a 3phase wont
