Web_Engraver
Hope someone can help. My IS200TX has a mind of it's own when using cylinder attachment, worked OK last night but this morning it is rotating at the wrong time for the engraving (hope this makes sence) the jaws are not 'slack'. Engraves fine on flat jobs, any ideas. Thanks in advance. Phil
Dean
Is it not rotating enough or too much? You have definetley entered the correct diameter of the job?
stevecoco
I had a numpty moment a few weeks back (whatever flame me) I had a material size bigger than I needed and the rotary engraving was going doolaly, once I reduced it to 60 x60 it worked fine. Like Dean says recheck your dimensions.

Dean
If its not that, I'd try deleting the machine in the software and re-adding it. engrave > config machines

Web_Engraver
Thanks for replies, have tried system restore & reinstalling machine - thought I had lost all saved work but found again, is Marino still working freelance? he has got me out of the doodoo previously. Why do customers all want while-you-wait when machine is down? Thanks again Phil
ANDY
make sure you have selected the correct box, this can make it misbehave i use centered or floating center

Microwhite
If you're quite happy software is ok and you still have issues then the 2 hardware areas to look at are - gearbox and motor lead. Lead - if you're up to it, take the connector apart to check the wires. There should be 4 wires connected to 4 pins in the socket that goes i to the IS200. If these are broken of look as if they will short out, better to get it fixed now than to risk blowing up the power board. Whilst you've got the plug removed from IS200 grab hold of rotary chuck unit and turn it like a steering wheel from left to right - if you have a problem in the gearbox you will feel the movement as you change direction ONLY carry out the lead test if you feel you're up to it Merv
Web_Engraver
Hi All, Spoken to Marino and he is coming to change the gearbox bearings, also servicing while here. Glad I kept ITL. Phil
Lee
worked OK last night but this morning I'd have thought bearings would have begun to play up over time? not instantly..........
Web_Engraver
I agree with you, when I said 'worked ok last night' I thought it was a software problen, have not used cup attachment 3/4 days & it was getting a bit noisey. Phil
stevecoco
Have to agree with Lee there. Marino's 'service' by the way is a clean of your machine, which you can do yourself without paying someone else to do for you. Oh and beware of software/Firmware upgrades he offers, my machine has never been the same since. Thought he was working for Datron is he once again freelance.
