tallchris
I wonder if any of you fellow shoe repairers would know where to source those cubes you used to be able to get hold of that you can build stilletos up with after doing tube extractions or for people who dont want to spend out on new heel blocks. Used to be able to get from Birch but no more. Any ideas please

stevE1965
You could go old school and use leather off cuts/ lifting, punch a hole in the leather , smaller than the tube, tap it over, I use a ring spanner, it makes the lift go on easy and level. Then shape and finish. Simples!
tallchris
Thanks for the info. will try birch again and tcollege both reps due in next week i think. used leather before and obviously that would be my option from the start but some of these plain coloured plastic heel blocks dont look to great with leather i find. must just be me
kobblers
Whenever I get a large ladies' heel in with the rigid plastic top pieces I keep them and use them as build up on plastic heels as they finish better than leather. Rick.
