Danny King
We cut and programmed a key for a Kia, Key works fine but won't start the car. If we pull the chip out so it is about 1 cm out of the case it starts. We have tried turning chip round etc but still the same problem. The chip is a TPX2 programmed on a TRS5000 Any ideas? grahamparker
Had very similar problems with a kia using the tpx 2 chip.I cured the first one we had by using the rw4 and a mh head after the same problem you had using the tpx2. We now use the mh heads all the time with kia's.
derek
check the head of the key where the chip goes in and see if there's a small pin head hole in it, if not drill 1 in and i think you will find the key will work fine, i had to do this to my sons renault when i made him a spare as at 1st it wouldn't work, i put it down to the key not having the pin head hole, hope that makes sense
