Key Crypt Pro, cloning machine.

Recommended Posts

I wonder if anybody out there has one of these machines?

I have one, and was using the EHS electronic heads to programme the Texas chips, but these are now discontinued. I was advised that the TK40 heads would programme, but I'm not having any luck. Can anybody advise an alternative to the EHS heads that will work?

The TK40 is the KL alternative to the EHS heads. (Texas)

Can you tell me what exactly is happening when you try to clone using the TK40 heads?

Error messages, etc?

Regards

Mike

The message I get is: WRITING ERROR

The key I am trying to clone is for an Isuzu Trooper 1998. My machine says it is a TPX1 and can be copied.

TK60 isn't working for me! #-o

have you bought the tk40 module as it wasnt free just buy the tpx module and use normal keys and chips

craig

Nobody has mentioned the module to me! I can do Texas chips, but in some it isn't like the Ford Texas, it's a little black chip, and I don't know where to get those from.

I'm a bit of a novice I'm afraid.

It sounds to me like you're trying to clone the key using the wrong type of transponder.

If the machine doesn't list TK40 as an option after the original key has been read?

If it only lists TPX1 as an option then that is all you can use.

Let me know

Mike

The machine gives me the choice of a TPX1 or a Silca Electro head. I have always used the latter, but they have been discontinued and I am truly at a loss. I spoke to Peter @ lockdecoders, and he said the TK40 would work.

Ok,

Have you ever used TK40 on this machine?

The reason i ask is because these machines are sold with different levels of software onboard.

If your machine has not got the TK40 module, then you won't be able to use those heads unless you upgrade to that module.

Ah!! So it looks like a phone call to Hickleys would be the way forward  I'd rather talk to Peter @ lockdecoders any day, but they can't help me any more :(
