Help! Broken Stilletto

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Hoping for some assistance! We have a problem with a pair of stilletto boots where the tube has cracked and taken a chunk of the heel with it. Looks like it's going to need a new heel! Anybody know where I can get a matching heel? It is leather covered and I think the old cover will peel of easily if it's a case of re-covering a new heel.

They broke after we reheeled them so customer naturally thinks it is what we did (and maybe it was??).

Regards

You could generate some heat into it on a smooth scouring band, be careful though, go gently. Or you could try and insert a screw into the tube and scour that to transfer the heat to the tube, again be careful it looks like a fine heel and you wont want to end up with a molten blob of plastic

To be honest I don't think it's moved. I think the tube has just cracked and broken off. The tube isn't whole right the way through but has a strengthener which is visible close to where it's broken, in fact the tube has broken away exposing a fraction of the strengthener which you can just about see in the picture.
