Simes
Hi, Hoping for some assistance! We have a problem with a pair of stilletto boots where the tube has cracked and taken a chunk of the heel with it. Looks like it's going to need a new heel! Anybody know where I can get a matching heel? It is leather covered and I think the old cover will peel of easily if it's a case of re-covering a new heel. They broke after we reheeled them so customer naturally thinks it is what we did (and maybe it was??). Regards Smon

Lee
the tube has been pushed into the heel block, this will need replacing first, or you'll lose 1/4 in height & you can bet your bottom dolor she's put a ruler up them.
Simes
Great post! Thanks for that Does anyone have any tips for removing the tube without heated nippers??
Gray
You could generate some heat into it on a smooth scouring band, be careful though, go gently. Or you could try and insert a screw into the tube and scour that to transfer the heat to the tube, again be careful it looks like a fine heel and you wont want to end up with a molten blob of plastic
Lee
thats quite a tall heel, you'll need a lot of heat, but the fact it looks like its gone into the heel block, it might not be too tight in the first place. Lee
Gray
Has it gone in or broken?
Simes
To be honest I don't think it's moved. I think the tube has just cracked and broken off. The tube isn't whole right the way through but has a strengthener which is visible close to where it's broken, in fact the tube has broken away exposing a fraction of the strengthener which you can just about see in the picture.
