Dont Upgrade Your RW4 to firmware 01.01.052 d it will no longer work with the pbox

 

Still awaiting a response from Silca as to why but have waited 7 days so far with no joy.

 

Hopefully someone from silca may read this and offer some assistance in this matter.

Did you resolve the problem with your RW4, i haven't experienced any problems when updating to this version?

 

You say your RW4 and Pbox will not work together anymore, what problems are you having?

grahamparker, to use P-Box with 01.01.052d version of RW4 you have to update P-Box from version 3.21 to version 3.22, you have to connect your p-box directly to the PC using the same Wintransfer ypu have used to update RW4 and follow the istructions shown on PC.

Yes after i rang silca today i found out there is an upgrade for the P-Box and i have it fully working now.Thanks Matt.

 

Word of warning you need the 9 pin serial connector that has an orange band that came with it to allow you to upgrade as it needs to

be connected to the port on the back of the p-box before the serial connector.

 

But i still have a couple of thoughts.

 

WHY release an update for the the RW4 through the srs service but NOT the pbox upgrade or warn anybody it is required.

 

Thankfully i bought the Zedbull which now has ID46 capabilities so it didn't cost me any customers.

 

Silca UK are great as long as you don't require any technical help and when you do you have to chase them to answer your questions rather than

them calling or e-mailing you when they know you have a problem.
